Global & Local Missions
From the mountains of Alabama to communities around the world, Harvest International Ministry is committed to sharing the love of Christ through compassion, discleship, and service.Â

Why We Go
For Harvest International Ministry, missions are more than trips—they are a lifestyle of obedience.
Â
Whether serving in a village after a natural disaster, worshiping with believers across the world, providing medical care, supporting local churches, or simply sharing the hope of Jesus Christ, every mission begins with the same purpose: to love people the way Christ loves them.
Over the years, God has opened doors for Harvest International Ministry to minister across multiple nations and cultures. Each journey has looked different, but every one has been centered on the Gospel, compassionate service, and building relationships that continue long after the team returns home.
We believe true missions don't end when the plane lands or the bus comes home. They continue in the lives that are transformed, the churches that are strengthened, and the leaders who are equipped to reach their own communities.
Different cultures. One Gospel. One Kingdom.

🇩🇴 Dominican Republic (2024)
Serving Children & Families with the Love of Christ
ÂIn 2024, Harvest International Ministry traveled to Monte Plata, Dominican Republic, to partner with a local summer camp dedicated to serving children and families in the community. Throughout the week, our team shared the love of Jesus through fellowship, encouragement, and ministry, building meaningful relationships with campers and local leaders.
Sharing the Gospel Across Languages
ÂAlthough many members of the mission team spoke only English, God faithfully opened doors for ministry despite the language barrier. Team members each helped lead groups of more than twenty children, finding creative ways to communicate God's love through smiles, games, worship, teamwork, and the help of translators.
The team also held two worship services, where the Holy Spirit moved powerfully. During the trip, approximately twelve children made the decision to give their lives to Jesus Christ, making the week one of eternal impact.
When God Speaks Every Language
ÂOne of the greatest lessons from the Dominican Republic mission was that the Gospel reaches beyond language, culture, and background. While communication sometimes required patience and creativity, God's love was clearly understood.
By the end of the week, friendships had been formed, lives had been touched, and seeds of faith had been planted. The mission reminded everyone that when we are willing to serve, God can use ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His Kingdom.

🇳🇮 Nicaragua (2019)
Sharing the Hope of Christ
ÂIn 2019, Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte traveled to Nicaragua to minister the Gospel and encourage local believers. Through worship, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word, the services were marked by a powerful move of the Holy Spirit.
ÂMany who attended shared testimonies of healing, renewed faith, and lives being touched by God's presence. The Nicaragua mission stands as another example of Harvest International Ministry's commitment to answering God's call and bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to communities around the world.

ðŸ‡ðŸ‡³ Honduras (2019)
Sharing the Hope of Christ in Honduras
ÂIn 2019, Harvest International Ministry traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with one purpose—to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Through worship, preaching, prayer, and fellowship, our team partnered with local believers to encourage churches and strengthen the body of Christ.
Worship Beyond the Church Walls
ÂOne of the most memorable moments of the trip was seeing God move powerfully in every service. We ministered in two local churches and even held a worship service in a public baseball field, where people gathered to hear the Gospel.
With music, dance, worship, and the preaching of God's Word, lives were touched and hearts were encouraged. It was a beautiful reminder that God can meet people anywhere.
Faith, Fellowship & Lasting Memories
ÂMission trips are filled with unforgettable moments—and Honduras was no exception.
Our team laughed together, served together, and experienced God's faithfulness every step of the journey. We even faced an unexpected challenge when our Airbnb only had running water once a week, meaning we couldn't flush the toilets for several days! While it certainly wasn't the most glamorous part of the trip, it became one of those stories that still makes us smile today.Despite every obstacle, God was faithful. The relationships built, the lives touched, and the joy of serving together made the Honduras mission a life-changing experience for everyone involved.

🇺🇸 USA Miami, Florida
(2018 & 2015)Strengthening Ministry Together
ÂIn 2015 and 2018, Harvest International Ministry traveled to Miami, Florida, to minister alongside Guerreros de Cristo, a church under the spiritual oversight of Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte. These visits were opportunities to encourage the congregation, strengthen ministry relationships, and worship together as one body in Christ.
ÂOver the years, a deep bond formed between the two ministries, built on shared faith, mutual encouragement, and a commitment to advancing the Gospel.
A Celebration of Worship
ÂEach visit was filled with passionate worship, powerful preaching, and joyful celebration. Harvest International Ministry's dance team ministered through worship in both years, joining with Guerreros de Cristo's dance ministry and Christian hip-hop youth team to glorify God through music and movement.
ÂThe worship services often continued for more than nine hours as people remained in prayer, worship, and fellowship, responding to what they believed God was doing among them.
ÂThroughout these services, many shared testimonies of lives being transformed. The congregation celebrated reports of healing, renewed faith, and individuals committing their lives to Jesus Christ, making each gathering a powerful reminder of God's work among His people.
A Milestone in Ministry
ÂOne of the most significant moments came during the 2018 visit, when Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte ordained Pastor Hendris as Bishop, recognizing his faithful leadership and marking an important milestone in the ministry of Guerreros de Cristo.
ÂAlthough these visits were planned ministry opportunities, the relationship extended far beyond scheduled events. Whenever members of Harvest International Ministry traveled through South Florida, they made it a priority to stop and reconnect with the church family they had grown to love.
ÂThese trips became a testimony of what God can accomplish when churches encourage one another, raise up leaders, and work together to share the Gospel.

🇲🇽 Mexico (2017)
A Journey of Faith and Generosity
ÂIn 2017, Harvest International Ministry partnered with Bilingual Kids Inc. on a mission to bless children and families in Mexico. Students from schools throughout the Anniston area donated thousands of items—including clothing, backpacks, blankets, school supplies, and other essentials—for children in need.
Before the journey even began, countless volunteers spent hours sorting every donation, carefully packing supplies into backpacks, and loading them onto a yellow school bus purchased by Harvest International Ministry. With hearts full of anticipation, the team set out on a two-day drive from Anniston, Alabama to Mexico, believing God would use every mile to make an eternal difference.Faith Through Every Obstacle
ÂLike many mission trips, this journey came with unexpected challenges.
Along the way, the mission bus experienced mechanical problems, but Bishop Reinaldo Whyte was able to diagnose the issue and make the necessary repairs so the team could continue their journey.
ÂWhen they reached the Texas border, officials informed the team that their yellow school bus could not continue to Oaxaca, Mexico, because buses of that type are regulated differently there. Rather than giving up, the team adapted and redirected the mission to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, trusting God had prepared another opportunity for ministry.
ÂDespite cold temperatures, constant rain, unexpected medical concerns, and long days of travel, the team never lost sight of why they came—to serve others with the love of Christ.
God Opened Another Door
ÂAlthough the original destination changed, God's purpose did not.
Harvest International Ministry partnered with local churches in Nuevo Laredo, sharing the Gospel through worship, ministry, and outreach. The Anniston Youth Orchestra, directed by Dr. Reinaldo Whyte, performed in churches and local orphanages, using music to encourage and inspire the communities they visited.
The thousands of donated clothes, backpacks, blankets, and school supplies were distributed to families and children in the region, ensuring every gift reached someone in need.
ÂEven on the return trip, another challenge arose when a vehicle struck the mission bus during the night. By God's grace, no one was injured, and the team returned home safely with hearts full of gratitude and unforgettable memories.
The Mexico mission became a powerful reminder that while our plans may change, God's purpose never does.
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed..."
— 2 Corinthians 4:8

🇯🇲 Jamaica (2015)
Serving Through Compassion
ÂIn 2015, Harvest International Ministry traveled to Kingston, Jamaica, on a medical mission dedicated to serving the local community through both practical care and the love of Jesus Christ.
ÂThanks to the generosity of hospitals in Anniston, Alabama, the team brought thousands of donated medical supplies, including medications, prescription eyeglasses, inhalers, and other essential resources. Working alongside doctors, adults, and youth volunteers, the mission provided compassionate care while sharing the hope found in Christ.
ÂFor many members of the team, this trip marked an unforgettable milestone—it was their very first time traveling by airplane.
Healing Bodies & Encouraging Hearts
ÂThe medical clinic was hosted at a local church, where community members came to receive care, encouragement, and prayer. While doctors and volunteers served those in need, Harvest International Ministry's dance team ministered through worship, celebrating God's love in a way that connected with people of every age.
ÂBeyond the clinic, meaningful friendships were formed between the youth of Harvest International Ministry and the young people of Jamaica. Together they laughed, worshiped, and learned from one another, with the Jamaican youth proudly sharing their culture and teaching the team expressions in Jamaican Patois (Creole).
A Life-Changing Journey
ÂEvery mission trip changes lives—but sometimes, it changes the lives of those who came to serve.
ÂThroughout the week, the team witnessed God's faithfulness through medical outreach, worship, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. From serving in the clinic to climbing Dunn's River Falls, the mission strengthened the team's faith while creating memories that would last a lifetime.
ÂThe week concluded with one final celebration. During the last day of the mission, approximately twelve people made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. Among them was Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte's youngest daughter, Lizzie, who gave her life to the Lord.
ÂHer decision was a beautiful reminder that God's work is never limited to one group of people. While the team traveled to Jamaica to serve others, God was faithfully working in the hearts of both the community and the mission team. It was the perfect ending to a week filled with compassion, worship, and the life-changing love of Jesus Christ.

🇵🇪 Peru (2013)
Sharing the Gospel in Peru
ÂIn 2013, Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte traveled to Lima, Peru to minister the Gospel, encourage local believers, and share the hope of Jesus Christ. Through preaching, worship, and fellowship, the mission strengthened relationships within the local Christian community and continued Harvest International Ministry's commitment to serving wherever God opens a door.
ÂLike every mission, Peru also offered opportunities to experience a new culture. From climbing the city's many hills and stairways to enjoying authentic Peruvian cuisine—including the memorable experience of trying traditional goat head soup—the trip became a reminder that missions are about more than traveling. They are opportunities to learn, grow, and witness God's work through people of every nation and culture.

🇵🇦Panama (2012)
Where the Journey Began
ÂIn 2012, Harvest International Ministry embarked on its first Harvest International's mission trip experience, traveling to El Chorrillo, Panama. Although members of the ministry had previously served internationally with another organization in Equator, this was the first mission organized and led by Harvest International Ministry.
With a heart to serve both physical and spiritual needs, the team partnered with a local church whose pastor also served within Panama's National Ministry of Health. This partnership opened the door for a large-scale medical outreach that would bless countless individuals in the community.Compassion Through Medical Care
ÂThanks to the incredible generosity of Regional Medical Center (RMC) in Anniston, Alabama, the mission team transported more than $250,000 worth of donated medical supplies and medications to Panama—carefully packed into suitcases and carried by the team.
Licensed doctors volunteered their time to provide medical care, each working alongside interpreters to ensure every patient could be served with compassion and understanding.
ÂThroughout the clinic, individuals received treatment for a variety of medical needs, including diabetes and respiratory illnesses. Children received life-saving asthma inhalers that were otherwise difficult for many families to obtain. The medical mission became a powerful demonstration of Christ's love through practical service.
A Mission That Changed Lives
ÂThe Panama mission touched lives in ways that extended far beyond medicine.
One unforgettable moment came when Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte's grandmother, who arrived at the clinic relying on a cane, left walking without it after receiving prayer and care. It became a testimony that the team has remembered ever since.
ÂMore importantly, the trip established the foundation for what Harvest International Ministry would become—a church committed to serving people both physically and spiritually, wherever God opens a door.
ÂLooking back, Panama was more than a mission trip. It was the beginning of a vision that has since taken Harvest International Ministry to multiple nations, reminding the team that even one act of obedience can begin a legacy of hope that reaches around the world.

ðŸ‡ðŸ‡¹ Haiti (2010)
Answering the Call in a Time of Crisis
ÂFollowing the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in October 2010, Harvest International Ministry felt compelled to respond.
Although the ministry had already completed a mission trip to Japan earlier that year, God faithfully opened another door—providing the financial resources, donated medical supplies, and the opportunity to serve during one of Haiti's greatest times of need.
ÂBishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte assembled a small medical team consisting of two doctors, one nurse, and dedicated volunteers, trusting that God could use even a few willing servants to make a lasting difference.
Compassion in Action
ÂWorking alongside local volunteers, the team provided medical care, encouragement, and prayer to those whose lives had been deeply affected by the earthquake. Through every patient served and every conversation shared, Harvest International Ministry sought to demonstrate Christ's love in both practical and spiritual ways.
ÂThe team lived under challenging conditions, staying in a simple tin house where temperatures often exceeded 120°F (49°C). Despite the intense heat and discomfort, no one lost sight of why they had come. Every challenge was outweighed by the opportunity to bring hope to people who had experienced tremendous loss.
God Always Provides
ÂThe Haiti mission became a powerful testimony of God's faithfulness.
What began as an unexpected opportunity after a year already filled with missions became one of Harvest International Ministry's most meaningful experiences. God supplied everything the team needed—from finances and medical resources to the people willing to serve.
The trip reminded everyone that when God calls His people to respond with compassion, He also provides the strength, resources, and opportunities to accomplish His purpose. The lives touched in Haiti continue to stand as a testimony that even a small team, surrendered to God, can make an eternal impact.

🇯🇵 Japan (2010)
A Call That Continued
ÂIn 2010, Bishop Dr. Reinaldo A. Whyte returned to Kagoshima, Japan, answering God's call to minister, encourage local churches, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although this would become one of three mission trips to Japan, each visit reflected the same purpose—to see lives transformed by the power and love of God.
Throughout the services, many people dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ, and the congregation witnessed powerful moments of worship, prayer, and spiritual renewal. The ministry's heart was never simply to visit another country, but to faithfully serve wherever God opened the door.A City Waiting
ÂEach time Bishop returned to Japan, the community welcomed him with great anticipation.
ÂLocal churches announced the upcoming services throughout the city, and Bishop's return was promoted on billboards so that church members, local residents, and those who had not yet heard the Gospel would know he was coming. Upon arriving in Japan, his visit was also featured in the local newspaper, reflecting the excitement surrounding the ministry and the relationships that had been built over the years.
These visits became more than mission trips—they became opportunities to strengthen lasting friendships, encourage believers, and continue sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with the people of Japan.Returning Again and Again
ÂJapan holds a special place in the history of Harvest International Ministry.
ÂThe opportunity to return three separate times is a testimony to the enduring relationships that were formed and the faithfulness of God throughout the years. Each journey brought new opportunities to preach the Gospel, encourage churches, and witness lives changed by the message of Jesus Christ.
ÂAlthough every trip had its own unique story, they all shared one purpose: answering God's call and faithfully serving wherever He led.
As more memories and photographs are gathered, the story of Harvest International Ministry's work in Japan will continue to grow—reflecting a ministry committed to building lasting relationships and sharing the hope of Christ across the nations.

🇪🇨 Ecuador (2004)
The Beginning of a Global CallingWhere it All Began
The Ecuador Medical Mission marked the beginning of Harvest International Ministry's international missions journey.
ÂPartnering with another missions organization, a team of more than 40 doctors, dentists, nurses, pastors, and volunteers traveled to Ecuador to provide free medical care while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
From sunrise until evening, hundreds of people lined up outside the medical clinic seeking treatment. While the medical professionals cared for physical needs, ministry teams prayed with families, encouraged communities, and shared the Gospel throughout the surrounding villages.
Pastor Jenniffer Whyte helped coordinate many of the clinic's daily operations, while Pastor Reinaldo Whyte ministered alongside the team through prayer, evangelism, and worship.
What no one knew at the time was that this mission trip would become the beginning of a worldwide missions vision that continues today.A Miracle That Changed a Village
ÂDuring one clinic day, a young boy—around seven or eight years old—arrived with a severely damaged foot after a snake bite.
Despite the medical team's compassionate efforts, the injury was beyond what they could restore. The boy looked at Pastor Reinaldo and asked if God could give him his foot back.
Pastor Reinaldo shared that he honestly answered, "I don't have enough faith for that."
ÂThe boy quietly replied,
"I do."
ÂTogether, the medical team and ministry leaders gathered to pray.
According to the testimony shared by Pastor Reinaldo and those present, they witnessed what they believed to be a miraculous healing as healthy bone, tissue, muscles, veins, skin, and toes appeared where the boy's foot had been destroyed.
When the prayer ended, the boy examined his foot, stood up, and walked away. The team remained in awe of what they had witnessed.
An Entire Village Responds
ÂThe following morning, an unusually large crowd gathered outside the medical clinic.
ÂA village chief asked Pastor Reinaldo to come outside.
ÂStanding before the team, the chief explained that the healed boy belonged to his village. Because of what they believed God had done, the chief announced that he, the boy, and the entire village wanted to place their faith in Jesus Christ.
ÂPastor Reinaldo has often described that moment as one of the defining experiences of his ministry.
Over the course of the Ecuador mission, hundreds of people committed their lives to Christ, making it one of the most spiritually significant mission trips in Harvest International Ministry's history.
That extraordinary experience became the foundation upon which future mission trips around the world would be built.

This is Only the Beginning
From the mountains of Honduras...
to the streets of Miami...
to the villages of Panama...
to disaster relief in Haiti...
to medical clinics in Ecuador...
to churches in Japan...

God has faithfully opened doors for Harvest International Ministry to share His love around the world.

Yet our greatest prayer isn't simply to visit more nations—it's to see more lives transformed by Jesus Christ.

As long as God continues to open doors, Harvest International Ministry will continue to answer the call.
Â
Because every nation matters.
Every community matters.
Every person matters.

Until every tribe, every tongue, and every nation has heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."
— Matthew 28:19
